Daniel Radcliffe, known for his portrayal of Harry Potter in the popular magical series, is all set to make a grand comeback to Broadway. He will return to the stage this spring in the solo play “Every Brilliant Thing.”

Playwright Duncan Macmillan collaborated with British comedian Jonny Donahoe to write Every Brilliant Thing. Previews for the play start on February 21, 2026, and it opens on March 12th. The 13-week engagement will run through May 24 at Broadway’s Hudson Theatre.

The play, which was directed by Jeremy Herrin, centres on a man who makes a list of "brilliant things" to make his suicidal mother feel better.

The show is "exhilarating and heartwarming," and is "all told through a list of every wonderful, beautiful, and delightful thing — big, small, and everything in between that makes life worth living." Despite being marketed as a one-man show, Every Brilliant Thing includes audience participation.

However, in a recent interview with the New York Times, Daniel has assured that nobody in the crowd will be required to speak.

The actor said, “There’s something about the nature of this play and the connection that is being constantly made with the audience, from before the play even starts when I’m out there interacting with people as they come into the room, that I’m very intrigued by and excited by.”

He added, “This play is built with the audience's new every night.”

For the unversed, Daniel Radcliffe made his Broadway debut in the 2007 play Equus. He has since returned to the stage several times over the years. The actor has performed in shows such as How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Martin McDonagh’s The Cripple of Inishmaan and The Lifespan of a Fact.

After playing the Boy Who Lived in eight hugely successful Harry Potter movies, the actor went on to star in several other movies. He won his first Tony Award for the 2023 revival of Merrily We Roll Along, in which he costarred with Lindsay Mendez and Jonathan Groff.
