Daniel Craig has recently exited the James Bond franchise after starring as the iconic 007 in several films in the franchise. Denis Villeneuve is all set to direct the next James Bond film with the makers on a hunt for the next 007.
However, Henry Golding, known for his roles in The Old Guard 2 and The Crazy Rich Asians, reflected on playing James Bond and called it every actor’s nightmare.
In a recent interview with People during the Los Angeles premiere of The Old Guard 2, Henry said, “I think that’s every actor’s kind of nightmare.”
He added, “But at the same time, [you’re] also wanting to kind of add something new to a franchise. Why can’t they bring out more agents or more OO’s? I think that would be so much more fun, because there just isn’t the restraints and the expectation.”
Henry further noted, “I don’t know. But I think I would love it so much more if there wasn’t that overhanging cultural pressure.”

Henry Golding's latest comment came after Denis Villeneuve was named the next director of the franchise, the first from Amazon and MGM Studios. Meanwhile, the previous film in the franchise, No Time to Die, was directed by Christopher Nolan.
While no casting has been confirmed, Tom Holland, Jacob Elordi, and Harris Dickinson are reported to be the top choices on Amazon’s wishlist. Meanwhile, Villeneuve’s artistic partner and wife, Tanya Lapointe, will serve as an executive producer alongside Amy Pascal and David Heyman.
