The much-awaited film 'GOAT,' starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by Venkat Prabhu, is set to hit theaters on September 5. The Tamil Nadu government has granted permission for a special screening of the film on its release day. This decision has generated considerable excitement among Vijay's fans, who eagerly await the film's release in theatres.

AGS Entertainment Private Limited, the production house behind 'GOAT,' requested permission for special screenings on both September 5 and September 6. However, the Tamil Nadu government approved only one special show for September 5, citing concerns about crowd control and safety. The special show is scheduled to begin at 9 am, and theatres across the state are expected to follow this timing.

To manage the crowd and maintain safety, the government has set specific guidelines.

Theaters are allowed to screen a maximum of five shows per day, with the special show starting at 9 am and the last show ending by 2 am. These measures ensure that the screenings do not lead to any health risks or overcrowding in theaters. The Commissioner of Revenue Administration emphasized the importance of cooperation and security arrangements with the police department to handle the special screenings smoothly.

'GOAT' stands for 'The Greatest of All Time,' and it is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film is an action drama that features Vijay in dual roles, a unique aspect that has intrigued fans and critics alike. The screenplay is jointly written by Venkat Prabhu, Ezhilarasu Gunasekaran, and K Chandru, ensuring a gripping narrative.

The film boasts a star-studded cast, including actors like Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Mohan, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Menakshi Chaudhary, and Premgi Amaren. With such a diverse and talented lineup, 'GOAT' promises to be a complete entertainer, combining action, drama, and emotional depth.

The release of 'GOAT' is particularly significant as it marks one of the last few films in Vijay’s illustrious acting career before he shifts his focus to politics. Vijay recently announced the formation of his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, which aims to make a significant impact in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. This film is thus seen as a bridge between his film career and his upcoming political journey.

Fans are eager to see Vijay in action, knowing that his appearances on the silver screen may become less frequent as he delves into politics. The anticipation for 'GOAT' is not just about the film’s storyline or action sequences, but also about witnessing one of Vijay’s final cinematic performances.

There is tremendous hype surrounding 'GOAT,' and the decision to allow a special show has only fueled the excitement further. Vijay’s fans, known for their loyalty and enthusiasm, are preparing for the film's release with great fervor. Social media platforms are buzzing with discussions, and advance bookings for the film have seen a significant surge.

The film’s trailer, released earlier, gave a glimpse of what to expect from 'GOAT.' With intense action sequences, dramatic dialogues, and Vijay’s charismatic presence, the trailer set high expectations. Fans are looking forward to seeing how the film unfolds and how Vijay portrays his dual roles.

'GOAT' is not just another film release; it marks a transitional phase in Vijay's life. Having already announced his political ambitions, Vijay is set to focus on serving the people of Tamil Nadu through his new political party. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam aims to address various social and economic issues in the state and make a meaningful difference.

Vijay's decision to enter politics has been met with mixed reactions. While some fans support his move, seeing it as a natural progression of his influence and popularity, others are curious about how he will balance his career and political commitments. Regardless, Vijay's announcement has undoubtedly added a layer of significance to the release of 'GOAT.'
