Farhan Akhtar meets two real-life heroes of Battle of Rezang La: "I thank them for blessing us"

Farhan Akhtar is set to make a powerful comeback with 120 Bahadur, where he steps into the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. The war-drama is among the most anticipated films of 2025.

Farhan Akhtar will be seen again on the big screen in the upcoming war-drama 120 Bahadur, in which he portrays the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh Bhati.

In a memorable moment, Farhan recently met with two surviving soldiers of the Battle of Rezang La - Subedar Honorary Captain Ram Chander Yadav and Havildar Nihal Singh.

He took to Instagram and shared few photos with the real-life heroes along with other members of his team. The first photo featured both the heroes along with the team of 120 Bahadur. While the following picture was of Captain Ram Chander Yadav with actor Sparsh Walia who portrays him in the film.  And the next picture was of Atul Singh seated with Havildar Nihal Singh.

He stated in the caption, "Was an honour spending an afternoon in the inspiring company of the two surviving heroes of the Battle of Rezang La, Subedar Honorary Captain Ram Chander Yadav ji & Havildar Nihal Singh ji, SM. "


He also thanked them for making this film happen. "Was special to introduce them to @sparshwaliaa & @atulsingh4199 .. our reel Charlie boys who portray them in the film. Once again, I thank them for blessing us with their permission to portray them in the film and bring their stories to the screen," he wrote as he concluded the post.

Directed by Razneesh Ghai and produced by Farhan Akhatr's Excel Entertainment, 120 Bahadur is based on the Battle of Rezang La, where the Indian Army's 13th Kumaon Regiment bravely fought the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The film has been shot in several locations including Rajasthan, Ladakh and Mumbai.

Recently, the film faced severe opposition from the members of Yaduvanshi (Ahir) community mahapanchayat, allegedly over the depiction of the heroism of only one soldier. The accused the makers of the film for not highlighting the sacrifices of the other brave soldiers.

The speakers also urged the makers to change the title of the film from 120 Bahadur to Veer Ahir. 120 Bahadur is scheduled to release on November 21, 2025.
