Fans ask why Anushka Shetty is not promoting Ghaati, producer replies 'it’s her personal choice'

Fans of Anushka Shetty are looking forward to her next movie, Ghaati, which will come out on September 5, 2025. A lot of people were looking forward to seeing the actress actively promote the movie, even though expectations were high. But Anushka has decided not to take part in any promotional activities, which is disappointing for them.

Krish directed Ghaati, a rustic vengeance drama with a female lead that takes place on the border between Odisha and Andhra. The story is about Sheelavathi, a woman who goes from being a victim to a criminal and then to a legend. Anushka plays her. Anushka has chosen not to promote the movie, even though it is big and people are excited about it.

Rajeev Reddy, the film's producer, who has been in charge of promoting it, explained why she wasn't there during media events. "When we started making the movie, we knew what she would be able to do.

He responded, "It's her choice not to come, so we have to respect it." Reddy said, "We were ready for it when she told us ahead of time that she wouldn't be able to do it." He also said that it is hard to promote a movie without its main star. It becomes a problem if someone says they would promote and then doesn't show up. But Anushka was honest and told us ahead of time.

In the meantime, Ghaati just finished its censoring. The CBFC gave the movie a U/A certificate, even though it had a lot of action and violence. The ultimate length is set at 2 hours and 37 minutes.

The movie, which features Anushka in two different looks, promises to be a fascinating story of revenge and strength. Fans may miss her in marketing, but they are still anxious to see her spectacular performance on the big screen when Ghaati comes out this September.
