Emma Watson breaks silence on acting break since Little Women and misses the art

In a candid chat with Hollywood Authentic, the Harry Potter star admitted she doesn’t miss the grind of movie promotions, which she described as “soul-destroying.” But she does miss the craft itself.

“I Do Not Miss Selling Things”

For Emma Watson, the imbalance between making art and then being forced to “sell” it became exhausting. “A bigger component than the actual job itself is the promotion and selling of that piece of work,” she explained. “I do not miss selling things. I found that to be quite soul-destroying.”

At the same time, she was quick to add she does miss acting itself. “I very much miss using my skill set, and I very much miss the art,” Emma Watson said, reflecting on the small amount of time she actually spent doing the part she loved.
