In the latest episode of Bigg Boss OTT Season 3's "Weekend Ka Vaar," host Anil Kapoor sternly reprimanded Elvish Yadav for his insensitive remarks towards fellow contestant Adnaan Shaikh. Elvish, in an attempt to belittle Adnaan, referred to him as "mentally disturbed," which did not sit well with Anil Kapoor. The situation highlighted the ongoing issues of respect and sensitivity within the Bigg Boss house.

During the episode, Elvish Yadav and Mr. Faisu, also known as Faisal Shaikh, found themselves defending their friends Lovekesh Kataria and Adnaan Shaikh, respectively, against a barrage of allegations. The tension in the house was palpable as these social media giants faced off, attempting to uphold their friends' honor. Elvish's initial defense of his friend Lovekesh involved denying claims that Lovekesh does not stand up for himself, asserting instead that Lovekesh has always been a person of strong beliefs.

Faisal, on the other hand, defended Adnaan by portraying him as a friendly and kind-hearted individual who never provoked anyone. He recounted how Adnaan accepted Lovekesh’s friendship, believing in his genuine nature. This set the stage for a series of confrontations that were both emotional and intense.
The drama escalated when host Anil Kapoor intervened. Kapoor, known for his no-nonsense approach, did not take Elvish’s derogatory comments lightly. When Elvish mocked Adnaan, calling him names like "fuski bomb" and "thali ka baigan," and insinuated that Adnaan had mental health issues, Anil Kapoor stopped him mid-sentence. He sternly reminded Elvish that jokes are only funny once, and repeating them to hurt someone is unacceptable.
Elvish’s mocking tone continued as he imitated Adnaan’s behavior, suggesting that Adnaan has a "medical issue," further aggravating the situation. Kapoor, visibly upset, questioned Elvish’s behavior, emphasizing the importance of respecting one another and maintaining decorum in the house. He stated, "Joke ek baar funny hota hai, baar baar nahi," reinforcing the idea that repeated insults are harmful and disrespectful.
The confrontation served as a crucial moment in the show, highlighting the fine line between humor and harassment. Anil Kapoor’s firm stance against Elvish’s behavior was a significant reminder of the show's commitment to maintaining a respectful environment, even amid the high-tension drama that Bigg Boss is known for.
This incident also sheds light on broader societal issues regarding mental health and the casual use of derogatory language. Elvish’s comments reflect a lack of awareness and sensitivity towards mental health issues, something that Kapoor’s reprimand aimed to address. By calling out such behavior on a public platform, Anil Kapoor not only upheld the dignity of the show but also contributed to a larger conversation about the importance of mental health awareness and respect for all individuals.
The exchange between Kapoor and Elvish was a stark reminder of the responsibilities that come with being in the public eye. Contestants like Elvish and Faisal, who have significant followings on social media, bear a responsibility to set positive examples for their fans. Their behavior on the show is scrutinized and can influence public perceptions and attitudes. Kapoor’s intervention highlighted the need for these influencers to act with greater awareness and responsibility.
