Salman Khan's iconic film, Maine Pyaar Kiya, was re-released in theatres on August 23, bringing back a wave of nostalgia for fans. The film, which received immense love and appreciation upon its initial release in 1989, is expected to create a stir once again with its re-release.
This milestone achievement holds a special place in Salman Khan's heart, as it marks a significant turning point in his career.
In an old interview, Salman recalled a moment from the shoot of the famous song “Kabootar Ja Ja” which brought tears to his eyes. He shared, “I was about 18 years old, and there was a truly memorable moment during the shoot for the song ‘Kabootar Ja Ja Ja’ when I suddenly knew that this was the role for me. During several narrations, I’d imagine Jackie Shroff or Anil Kapoor in those roles, but I could never actually see myself doing big films. That moment was the first time I really felt, ‘Yes, I can do this’. I had tears in my eyes.”
Maine Pyaar Kiya, starring Salman Khan and Bhagyashree, is a timeless romantic musical film that continues to captivate audiences. This groundbreaking film redefined the romantic genre, offering a fresh perspective on love stories with its blend of friendship and heartwarming narratives.
From the memorable dialogues to the enchanting songs, every element of Maine Pyaar Kiya contributed to its iconic status as an all-time blockbuster.
Salman Khan is set to captivate audiences once again with his upcoming film, Sikandar. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar is slated for release during Eid 2025.
