The recent revelations in the Renukaswamy murder case have added another shocking twist. It has emerged that actor Pavithra Gowda was present at the scene when Swamy was being tortured. This case in which popular Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is arrested, has gained significant media attention due to the brutality of the crime and the involvement of high-profile individuals.

Renukaswamy, a 33-year-old man, was reportedly murdered because he had allegedly posted obscene messages on social media about Pavithra Gowda, who is a close friend of Darshan.

According to the sources, on June 8, Swamy was kidnapped from his hometown Chitradurga by some of the other accused in the case. He was then taken to a shed in Bengaluru, 200 km away, where he was joined by Darshan and Pavithra Gowda.

The chilling details reveal that Pavithra Gowda was present in the shed for at least some time while Swamy was being beaten with sticks and given multiple electric shocks. This involvement adds a disturbing layer to the case, as it indicates that the torture and eventual murder of Swamy were premeditated and executed with the knowledge and presence of these actors.

According to news agency PTI, it was Pavithra Gowda who instigated Darshan Thoogudeepa to punish Swamy for the posts made by him. The autopsy report states that Swamy died due to "shock hemorrhage as a result of multiple blunt injuries." Reports also indicate that his testicles were ruptured, and one of his ears was missing, underscoring the extreme violence he was subjected to.

The police have arrested 17 people in connection with this case, including Darshan and Pavithra Gowda. Sources suggest that Darshan may have paid as much as ₹50 lakh to his aides for their role in the crime. Of this, ₹30 lakh was reportedly paid to a man named Pradosh alias Pawan, who oversaw the kidnapping, murder, and disposal of Swamy’s body. Additionally, ₹5 lakh was supposed to be paid to the families of two men, Raghavendra and Karthik, so that they could give false confessions and go to prison in place of the actors and others involved in the murder.

In accordance with this plan, some of the accused took the fall for the murder and confessed but eventually revealed the actors' names under sustained questioning. The police have recovered CCTV footage as well as the footwear that Darshan and Pavithra Gowda were wearing on the day of the murder. These pieces of evidence have been crucial in linking them to the crime.

Pavithra Gowda is currently in judicial custody, while Darshan's police custody was extended by two days on Thursday. The police are continuing their investigation to unravel more details about the case and ensure that all involved are brought to justice.
