Daisy Shah isn’t someone who holds back, and she’s opening up like never before about her personal life and future plans. In a candid chat with Hauterrfly, the Jai Ho actress spoke about love, heartbreak, self-worth, and why she’s taking control of her own choices — including freezing her eggs.
Daisy revealed she’s only had two serious relationships, but both came with challenges. One of her exes, despite being in the same industry, was insecure about her working with male colleagues.
“I put up with a lot of rubbish," Daisy admitted, explaining that back then, she didn’t value herself enough. But when things turned toxic, she chose to walk away. She even recalled a party where someone casually pulled her hand to dance. “I was constantly questioned about where I was going, and who I was working with. The irony is, he was from the same industry. At a party once, someone pulled my hand to dance, and he got upset. But when the same thing happened to him, he expected me to be understanding."
At 39, Daisy says marriage isn’t on her radar. Watching other relationships has only reinforced her belief that many men still struggle to accept strong, independent women.
Motherhood also isn’t a priority right now, but Daisy has already taken a big step by freezing her eggs — something a close friend suggested. For her, it’s about taking control of her own timeline and making choices on her terms.

On the work front, Daisy started as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya before making her lead debut with the Kannada film Bhadra in 2011.
Her Bollywood break came with Salman Khan’s Jai Ho (2014), though the film didn’t click at the box office. Since then, she’s kept busy with varied projects, including the 2023 film Mystery of the Tattoo and the 2024 web series Red Room on Hungama OTT.
