India's longest-running investigative show, CID, returned with its second season a few months ago, much to the delight of its die-hard fans.

But fans were in for a rude shock when last week CID's most iconic character, ACP Pradyuman, played by veteran actor Shivaji Satam, was killed in a bomb blast.

Fans expressed their anger and hate at the decision and called out the makers for killing the essence of the show.

Now in yesterday's episode, another character, ACP Ayushmann, played by Parth Samthaan, made an entry in the show.

Fans of CID were shocked and took to X again to vent out their anger and some even called the entry 'worst and most pointless.'

Earlier in an interview with Aaj Tak, Parth had shared his excitement about joining CID 2.

"Immediately, people are not going to follow my orders,” he hinted. The young, fresh-faced character of ACP Ayushman will face a steep challenge in earning the respect of his team, making for some interesting twists and turns.

This is what netizens are saying about Parth's entry.

"I can't put up with this trio's haughtiness and disrespect for the OG Team of #ACPPradyuman' CID.

I hope they leave soon. #CID2

The worst and most pointless entries. #CIDRETURNS

P.S. I have no animosity towards actors."

If reports are to be believed, then makers might get ACP Pradyuman back in the upcoming episodes.

CID 2, which airs every Saturday and Sunday on TV, saw the return of the hit trio ACP Pradyuman, Daya, and Abhijeet.
