Netflix is set to ignite screens with Back in Action, a high-energy espionage comedy that marks Cameron Diaz’s long-awaited return to the screen after a decade.
Directed by Seth Gordon (Horrible Bosses) and co-written with Brendan O’Brien (Neighbors), the film reunites Cameron Diaz with Jamie Foxx in a thrilling tale of ex-CIA spies whose quiet family life is upended when their cover is blown.
Netflix dropped the teaser trailer of Back in Action on November 14, which features Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz on a thrilling ride as a married couple who are forced back into their old jobs as spies.
With a powerhouse supporting cast including Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, and Andrew Scott, Back in Action promises an exciting adventure infused with sharp humour.
"Years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, Emily and Matt find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown."
Back in Action marks the return of Cameron Diaz after a gap of almost a decade. She was last seen in 2014's Annie where she was seen with Jamie Foxx.
Cameron Diaz announced her return to acting in June 2022, and she and Jamie were seen filming the action comedy soon.
Back in Action is Diaz and Foxx's third collaboration onscreen after 1999's Any Given Sunday and Annie in 2014. Diaz will next be seen in Jonah Hill's upcoming film Outcome.
Back In Action is going to stream on Netflix from January 17.
