A day before his tragic death, young actor Sachin Chandwade had shared the poster of his upcoming Marathi film Asurvan on social media, proudly announcing his role as “Soma.” The post, uploaded on Instagram by Swapn Swaroop Production, has now turned into a heartbreaking reminder of the 25-year-old’s unrealized potential and his deep passion for acting.
Sachin, who hailed from Undirkhede village in Jalgaon district, was not just an emerging actor but also a talented software engineer based in Pune. He worked at a reputed IT park and was balancing a promising career in technology alongside his growing interest in the entertainment industry. Acting had been his lifelong passion, and he had been actively working toward building a name in Marathi cinema and web content.
In Asurvan, Sachin played the character of Soma. The film, written and directed by Sachin Ramchandra Mango, is described as a dramatic story with elements of mystery and social commentary. According to the official production handle, the movie is expected to hit theatres soon. The caption on the post read, “Presenting you from the movie Asurvan — Actor Sachin Chandwade in the role of ‘Soma’.” The poster shows Sachin standing against a dark forest backdrop, his expression calm yet intense, reflecting the tone of the film. The post quickly gained attention, especially after news of his death broke, with hundreds of comments pouring in expressing grief and disbelief.

Sachin was found hanging at his residence in Pune on October 23, 2025, and despite immediate medical attention, he passed away the following night. Tributes have flooded social media, with fans calling him a “rising star gone too soon.”
His final post, featuring the Asurvan poster, now stands as a haunting symbol of a dream cut short — a young artist on the verge of recognition, silenced before his story could truly begin.
