Producer Sajid Nadiadwala likely to announce Salman Khan's Kick 2 on his 60th birthday: Report

Last year, Sajid had confirmed Salman Khan’s Kick 2 by sharing an image from Salman’s photo shoot for the film.

Salman Khan is currently gearing up for his upcoming release Battle of Galwan, and according to the latest reports, he and the team may announce Kick 2 on his birthday.

A report from Box Office Worldwide suggests that producer Sajid Nadiadwala is likely to unveil Kick 2 on Salman Khan’s birthday, December 27. The report also indicates that Kriti Sanon might replace Jacqueline Fernandez as the female lead.

If this turns out to be true, audiences will get to witness a fresh on-screen pairing of Kriti and Salman together.

However, as of now, neither Salman Khan nor Sajid Nadiadwala has officially confirmed the announcement.

Last year, Sajid had confirmed Salman Khan’s Kick 2 by sharing an image from Salman’s photo shoot for the film. This shoot took place while Salman was already filming Sikander with Rashmika Mandanna. Sajid shared the photo on the microblogging platform X, writing, “It was a great Kick 2 photo shoot Sikandar….!!! From Grand Sajid Nadiadwala.”

In the photo, Salman had his back to the camera, wearing a black vest and standing in front of several cars.

In an earlier interview with Pinkvilla, Sajid elaborated on his vision for Kick 2. He said, “I launched myself as a director with Kick and that’s my favourite IP. The moment I speak about Kick, I get messages from the industry and even the digital world is flooded with questions about when Kick 2 will go on floors. Now, I promise that there will be an extension to Kick. The subject is there on paper, it’s completely written but needs time. We need a bigger scale and a better time for its release. We need to have cinema consumption back in fashion for us to make Kick. Once we are back to normal, I will be ready to take Kick 2 on floors."

Although there were rumours that filming for Kick 2 would begin in 2025, it did not materialize as Salman was busy working on Battle of Galwan, which is expected to release in 2026. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan will feature Chitrangada Singh as the female lead.
