Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is now running in the theatres

Kapil Sharma made his comeback to the big screen with the most-awaited, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2. Despite the high expectations, the film couldn’t perform well on its opening day at the box office.

According to a trade website, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 earned Rs 1.75 crore net in India on Friday. The film registered an overall occupancy of 16.45% in Hindi language with 5.91% footfalls in the morning show, which was increased by 13.90% during the afternoon, 17.21% in the evening and 28.77% in the night show.

Due in large part to public ignorance and Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar's phenomenal run, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, the sequel to the popular comedy film from 2015, struggled at the box office. Additionally, neither the trailer nor the songs were able to pique the audience's curiosity.

Directed by Anukalp Goswami, the comedy entertainer also stars Ayesha Khan, Parul Gulati, Tridha Choudhury, Hira Warina, Manjot Singh, Asrani, and Sushant Singh in the key roles.

The film revolves around a man who is secretly married to three women of different faiths and plans a fourth wedding while avoiding detection. A police officer searches for a triple-married suspect as the husband confesses to a priest.

An excerpt of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 review by Moneycontrol reads, “After a long time you get to see a climax scene in a Bollywood film where almost every character is present. It brings back memories of climax scenes from Priyadarshan’s comedies. The ending mixes slapstick with straight-faced humour and those moments hold the film together. ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2’ stays within a tried and tested zone and follows a comic tone that feels close to Priyadarshan and David Dhawan, though not at par. It aims for that zone and manages to hit and miss at the same time. By the time everything explodes on screen, the film embraces its madness with full confidence. Keep your expectations in check and you will probably enjoy the ride.”
