Several Bollywood celebrities were spotted at the World Pickleball League (WPBL) 2026, held in Mumbai on Saturday. Among those in attendance were stars such as Aamir Khan, Genelia D’Souza, Riteish Deshmukh, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, adding glamour to the sporting event.
While several clips from the league quickly went viral on social media, one moment stood out and sparked a lot of discussion online. A video captured a candid parenting moment involving Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh’s younger son, who was seen crying during the event.
In one of the videos shared widely across platforms, the couple’s younger son looks very upset. Genelia appears to be speaking to him calmly and trying to comfort him.
Although the exact reason for his distress is unclear, many social media users praised the actress’s calm and caring way of handling the situation in public.
Reacting to the viral clip, one social media user commented, “I love how she said her bit and left him to deal with it and regulate himself. He will grow up to be such a good independent boy. These two are the best parents.” Another user, however, raised concerns over privacy, writing, “No one has the right to film and share a child’s vulnerable moments. Every child deserves privacy and protection. Posting such visuals for content is deeply insensitive and irresponsible.”
Aside from the emotional moment, another detail from the video that caught attention was the child’s hairstyle. Many internet users questioned the choice. Several felt it did not suit him and discussed whether it is appropriate to comment on a child’s appearance.
Riteish and Genelia also own the pickleball team Pune United. Their presence at the league highlighted their increasing involvement in the sport. From films to business, and now sports, the couple keeps expanding their reach beyond the entertainment industry.

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, who tied the knot on February 3, 2012, are parents to two sons, Riaan and Rahyl.
