Bigg Boss Telugu 8 finally got its winner in Nikhil Maliyakkal on Sunday (December 16).
Bigg Boss Telugu 8 host Nagarjuna announced the winner in Nikhil Maliyakkal. Nikhil beat fellow finalist Gautham Krishna in a nail-biting contest, and won the Bigg Boss trophy.
Powerstar Ram Charan Teja also made his presence felt at the grand finale making it a grand event.
As per the voting trends, Nikhil was the audience favourite, and was likely to win over 15 contestants in the house.
There was a layer of unpredictability in the finale.
Host Nagarjuna, Gautham, and Ram Charan who handed over the trophy to Nikhil let him enjoy the moment alone and allow him to soak in the news.
Post the victory, Nikhil said: 'Thank you everyone. A wonderful journey with you all. A lot of memories, smiles, laughs, tears, fights... All of you have directly or indirectly supported me. I have learnt a lot, and I will use it in my life. Thank you to the audience. Thank you for bringing me to this stage, and proving that I am one of you, and not an outsider."
