Aparshakti Khurana to make Tamil debut with 'ROOT- Running Out of Time'

Known for his performances in the Stree franchise and the critically acclaimed series Jubilee, Aparshakti will star alongside Tamil actor Gautham Karthik in this intriguing sci-fi project.

Aparshakti Khurana is all set to make his debut in Tamil cinema with the upcoming high-concept crime thriller ROOT – Running Out of Time.

Known for his performances in the Stree franchise and the critically acclaimed series Jubilee, Aparshakti will star alongside Tamil actor Gautham Karthik in this intriguing sci-fi project.

Taking to Instagram, Aparshakti shared a series of photos with his co-stars Gautham Karthik, Bhavya Trikha, and other team members from the film. In his caption, he expressed his excitement and wrote, "Super Thrilled to announce my first Tamil Film! A Sci-Fi thriller called 'ROOT' with the extremely passionate @sooriyaprathap @gauthamramkarthik @bhavyatrikha @alice_in_wonderland_1710 @arjunrajadft @mujeebshaik85 @verusproductionsofficial."

ROOT: Running Out of Time is currently being filmed in Chennai under the direction of Sooriyaprathap S. and produced by Verus Productions. In an effort to push the boundaries of traditional genres, the movie promises a novel fusion of crime thriller and science fiction elements with poignant storytelling.

In an official statement, Aparshakti shared his enthusiasm about stepping into Tamil cinema, “I am absolutely thrilled to be making my debut in Tamil cinema with ROOT – Running Out of Time. It’s a challenging and unique script, and I’m excited to explore this new territory. The opportunity to work with such a talented team and to connect with a new audience is something I’m truly looking forward to.”

Apart from this Tamil venture, Aparshakti Khurana will also be seen next in Badtameez Gill, a comedy-drama where he stars alongside Vaani Kapoor and veteran actor Paresh Rawal. Directed by Navjot Gulati, the film adds yet another exciting chapter to his diverse filmography.
