She underlined the significance of appreciating one's inherent beauty and putting more emphasis on general wellbeing rather than depending on cosmetic improvements.

Actor Mallika Sherawat has spoken out in favour of embracing natural beauty, urging people to steer away from "artificial cosmetics" in a heartfelt video message shared with her fans.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Mallika posted the video in which she encouraged her followers to adopt a “healthy way of living.”

She underlined the significance of appreciating one's inherent beauty and putting more emphasis on general wellbeing rather than depending on cosmetic improvements.

Mallika added a caption to the video that reaffirmed her point. She urged people to adopt healthy lifestyle choices, like eating a balanced diet, drinking plenty of water, exercising frequently, and getting enough sleep. Her message serves as a gentle reminder to put one's health and self-care above band-aid solutions.

The caption read, “Instead of chasing youth with these artificial procedures, I'm nurturing it from within. Eating clean, hydration, sleeping early & exercising are some of the practices I regularly follow. Let's embrace our natural glow."

In the video the 48-year-old actor said, “There's no filter I am using, there's no makeup I've put on. I haven't even brushed my hair yet. This is the first thing I am doing. I am sharing this video with you so that we all can say together, ‘No to botox, No to artificial cosmetic fillers, and yes to life, yes to a healthy way of living’. Love you all."

However, the comment section was soon inundated with netizens calling out the actress, accusing her of hypocrisy for allegedly undergoing artificial beauty treatments herself. One user wrote, "It does not look an awareness video...it looks like flaunting I am so beautiful and I don't need botox video." Another user wrote, "But you have definitely got Botox done on your forehead ma’am." A comment also read, "You do have Botox at least on your forearm, dare to tell the truth." Another netizen pointed out, "You have highlighted hair please dont judge people for their choices." "How about we just respect others choices even if we don’t want to do it to ourselves?" read a comment.
