Actor and model Shefali Jariwala died on June 27, leaving her family and friends devastated. Although the initial reports suggested that she died of a cardiac arrest, several speculations related to her health and death are circulating online.
Some of the reports also suggested that Shefali took an anti-ageing injection on an empty stomach, which ultimately led to a cardiac arrest. However, Shefali’s close friend, Pooja Ghai, has recently opened up about the speculations and confirmed that the late actress did take the vitamin C IV drip.
In a recent conversation with journalist Vickey Lalwani, Pooja said, “On that day, she did take the drip, the vitamin C. But like I said, it’s a very normal thing to take vitamin C. I mean, we all take vitamin C, right? I think post-COVID people have just started taking vitamin C as regularly as possible. And vitamin C is something I take as well. So it’s a very normal thing.”
Pooja also addressed the anti-ageing injection reports and noted that taking such injections is a common practice.
She noted, “It’s so common. In fact, if you walk down the streets here in Dubai, you see multiple vitamin C drips at regular clinics and salons. She was in a profession where she had to be her best, and she was her best. She looked the best.”
Pooja Ghai’s latest statement came after the police investigation revealed that Shefali had been consuming anti-ageing medicines, including glutathione and vitamin infusions, for the last seven to eight years. The reports also suggested that Shefali took the injection while fasting on the day of her demise.
