In a recent statement shared on social media, Aarti Ravi, wife of actor Jayam Ravi, addressed the ongoing public discourse surrounding their personal lives, emphasizing their choice to maintain dignity and silence amidst scrutiny.
Aarti, who has become the focus of media attention due to her ongoing divorce from Jayam Ravi, clarified that her silence should not be mistaken for weakness or guilt. She stated, "In light of ongoing public commentary surrounding my personal life, I find it important to emphasise that my silence is not a sign of weakness or guilt. I've chosen to stay dignified and not respond to those trying to portray me in bad light to conceal the truth, but I trust the legal system to bring justice."
She also referred to a previous public announcement, allegedly made with mutual consent, which she claimed was a shock to her. Aarti explained that the statement was misinterpreted and stressed that it had no connection to the ongoing unilateral divorce proceedings initiated by Jayam Ravi.
Aarti expressed her disappointment over the lack of private discussions on the matter, stating, "It's unfortunate that my words were misinterpreted. I still hope for a private conversation on this matter which till date has been denied." She further highlighted her respect for the institution of marriage and her refusal to engage in public disputes that might harm anyone’s reputation.

Concluding her statement, Aarti emphasized her focus on her family's well-being, saying, "My focus is on our family's well-being, and I trust in God's grace for guidance."
Earlier this month, Jayam Ravi made an announcement on social media about their separation. However, Aarti later claimed that the statement was made "without her consent," which has led to a publicized and contentious divorce process.
