Abhishek Bachchan's latest film, I Want To Talk, has premiered in theatres. The film highlights the resilience and positivity of a man facing life's toughest challenges. The film is inspired by the life of Arjun Sen, a cancer survivor and marketing genius. In a recent interview with ETimes, Abhishek shared insights about his personal connection to the character and his unwavering optimism, despite being a public figure subjected to social media scrutiny.

Reflecting on his 24-year career in the industry, Abhishek emphasised the importance of staying true to oneself. "Hindi mein ek shabd hai, 'dhridhta'. Somewhere, who you are as a person, what you are as a person shouldn't change. Your fundamentals shouldn't change. You have to learn to adapt and evolve or you will be left behind, but your fundamental values shouldn't change," he said. He added, "jab bura apni buraai na chhode toh accha apni acchai kyun chhode? (If the bad doesn't stop being bad, why should the good stop being good). I cannot change the person I am. I am a very positive person and you cannot concentrate on the negatives."

Abhishek believes in holding on to his true self, stating, "As a man, who are you? What are you standing for? If I'm going to be a leaf in the wind, people will say he's not a solid person. Hence, some things in me don't change."

He further elaborated on how this philosophy is mirrored in I Want to Talk. He explained that when one sees a silver lining on the cloud or a ray of sunshine, they should hold on to it, as it provides the impetus, inspiration, and reason to carry on in life. He noted that it is very easy for people to get swallowed by darkness and negativity, but he believes that the film conveys a beautiful message about finding hope.
