The BJP, according to PM Modi, is a political movement that brings people from all walks of life together.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is with Christians, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a special interview with Asianet News about Lok Sabha elections.

The BJP, according to PM Modi, is a political movement that brings people from all walks of life together. For centuries, the BJP has ruled Goa with the backing of various Christian groups. Christian leaders and ministers have key positions in the BJP regimes in the northeastern states. Christian sects are well-supported there.

Efforts are being made to maintain their unity rather than placing the blame on Christian sect members who do not support them, he added.

"We have Christian friends in our leadership from the booth in Kerala to the national level. Christian leaders, bishops meet me 5 to 6 times a year. I also celebrate Christmas. The Christian community is fed up with the LDF-UDF lies... those parties are the cause of many disputes between the churches... many have come to me and complained against them. Our church property is in great danger.., they asked me to help. Seeking help from Government of India. Also, many churches are in a lot of trouble there..we are concerned about this," said PM Modi in the interview.

Modi said that in cases of conflict between several congregations, the bishops requested him to step in and mediate. He is worried about the issues that Kerala's churches are facing. The falsehoods of the LDF and UDF are tiring out Keralan Christians.

Christian leaders in Kerala are part of the BJP, from booths to the national level. I celebrate Christmas. The health and education sectors benefit greatly from the contributions of Christian groups, said PM Modi.

Additionally, Narendra Modi said that the Pope might come to India next year.

"I had a long discussion with the Pope when I went to the Vatican... He has a lot of information about the functioning of my government. We discussed many things... I asked him to come to India. Maybe he will come to India next year," said PM Modi.
