UP Police Physical Test 2024

The physical test is a crucial stage in the selection process, aiming to assess a candidate's physical fitness and stamina. It will be divided into two parts:

Physical Standard Test (PST): This test will assess a candidate's basic physical attributes such as height, chest measurement, and weight.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This test will focus on endurance and agility. The key element is a running race – male candidates must complete 4.8 kilometers within 25 minutes, while female candidates need to cover 2.4 kilometers in 14 minutes.

Preparation Tips for UP Police Constable Physical Test

Cracking the physical test requires dedication and a well-structured training plan. Here are some valuable tips for aspiring UP Police Constables:

  • Gradual and Consistent Training: Don't expect overnight results. Start slow and gradually increase the intensity and duration of your training.
  • Medical Fitness Checkup: Before starting your training, ensure you are medically fit for strenuous activity. Consult a doctor to rule out any heart or lung-related conditions.
  • Prioritise Sleep and Diet: A sound sleep schedule and a balanced, nutritious diet are crucial for optimal physical performance and recovery.
  • Regular Running Practice: Running is the core element of the PET.
  • Gradually increase your running distance and improve your stamina.
  • Incorporate Additional Exercises: Supplement your running with exercises that improve strength, agility, and flexibility. Consider training under a certified fitness professional for guidance.
  • Practice under Exam Conditions: If possible, practice running the exact distance (4.8 km or 2.4 km) within the stipulated time under simulated exam conditions.
Final Selection and Document Verification

Only candidates who clear both the written exam and the physical test will proceed for document verification. The final merit list for selection will be based on the combined score of the written exam and performance in the physical test.

Candidates are advised to stay updated with official announcements from the UPPRPB website to get the latest information regarding exam dates, admit cards, and other important updates.
