UGC NET December 2024 exam from 3 January; check subject-wise exam date and time here

The UGC NET December 2024 exam will be held from 3 to 16 January 2025 in CBT mode. Candidates can check the timelines and subject allocations to streamline their preparations accordingly.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 cycle. The examination is set to take place from 3 January 2025 to 16 January 2025. This Computer-Based Test (CBT) aims to facilitate eligibility for Assistant Professor posts, Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), and admission to PhD programmes.

  2. On the homepage, click the link for the UGC NET December 2024 exam schedule.
  3. A PDF will open with the detailed subject-wise timetable.
  4. Download the PDF and save it for reference.

Exam Timings and Format

The UGC NET December 2024 examination will be conducted in two shifts daily:

  • Morning Shift: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Candidates should reach the examination centre two hours before the exam start time to ensure a smooth entry.
  • Entry timing for the morning shift: 7:20 am to 8:30 am
  • Entry timing for the afternoon shift: 1:45 pm to 2:00 pm

The test will cover 85 subjects and include separate papers for eligibility as an Assistant Professor or JRF.

Candidates will receive information regarding their exam centre city at least eight days before the exam date. This information will also be made available on the NTA’s official website.
