The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Telangana has started the registration process for TS POLYCET 2026. The entrance test is conducted for students seeking admission into diploma courses in engineering, agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and related streams offered by polytechnic institutes across the state.

The online application process began in early February 2026 and is available on the official website polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in. Students who have passed Class 10 (SSC) or an equivalent examination can apply for the entrance test.

The last date to submit the application without a late fee is April 20, 2026. Candidates who miss this deadline can still register by paying a late fee of Rs 100 on April 21, while a tatkal fee of Rs 300 will apply for applications submitted on April 22, 2026.

The TS POLYCET 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on May 13, 2026. It will take place in offline mode at designated centres across Telangana.

Eligibility Criteria

Students must have passed the SSC (Class 10) or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with at least 35% aggregate marks. Both regular candidates and those who cleared compartment exams are eligible.

The exam is meant for students aiming to secure admission into three-year diploma programmes in engineering and related fields at government, government-aided and private polytechnic colleges in Telangana.

  1. Visit the official website: polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in
  2. Click on the TS POLYCET 2026 registration link on the homepage.
  3. Fill in personal and academic details in the application form.
  4. Upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature as per the prescribed format.
  5. Submit the form and download the confirmation page for future reference.

Exam Pattern and Application Fee

The entrance test will be conducted for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The question paper will consist of multiple choice questions from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, with around 150 questions in total. Each correct answer carries one mark, and there is no negative marking in the exam.

The application fee is Rs 500 for general category candidates and Rs 250 for students belonging to SC and ST categories.

After the examination, SBTET will release the answer key and results. The counselling process will follow for seat allotment in participating institutes.
