The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Tamil Nadu, has released the notification for the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2025. The registration process began on 11 August 2025 and will continue until 8 September 2025. Candidates can apply online through the official website, trb.tn.gov.in.

TNTET is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for teaching positions in Classes 1 to 8 in schools across Tamil Nadu. Paper 1 is for those who wish to teach Classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for Classes 6 to 8.

According to the notification, Paper 1 is tentatively scheduled for 1 November 2025, and Paper 2 for 2 November 2025. The application correction facility will be available from 9 September to 11 September 2025. Candidates must submit separate application forms and fees if they wish to appear for both papers.

TNTET 2025 Important Dates

• Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 18 years old as on 1 July 2025. There is no upper age limit.
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must meet the required qualifications for the paper they are applying for, as mentioned in the official notification.

3. Complete the registration process.
4. Fill in the application form.
5. Upload a scanned passport size photograph and signature in the required format.
6. Pay the application fee.
7. Submit the form and save the confirmation page.
