Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has officially announced the commencement of the online application process for the Departmental Examinations, December 2025. As per the notification issued today, all eligible candidates must submit their applications exclusively through the online portal, with a strict deadline of 11:59 PM on November 11, 2025.
A key highlight of this cycle is the mandatory integration of Aadhaar details with the candidate's One-Time Registration (OTR) profile. Officials have emphasized that applications will not be processed without this crucial step.
Candidates are advised to log in to their Departmental Examination One-Time Registration portal first. The OTR profile must accurately reflect current personal details.
"A critical step candidates often miss is updating their OTR," an official source stated. "Any discrepancy in name, date of birth, father's name, or working district must be corrected before filling out the main application for the December 2025 exams. This will prevent any issues during the hall ticket generation or result declaration."
How to apply for TNPSC Departmental Examination 2025?
For a smooth application process, candidates should follow these steps:
Access the One-Time Registration (OTR) Portal: Visit the official departmental examinations website and log in to your OTR account. New candidates must first create an OTR profile.
Update and Verify OTR Details: Ensure all information, including your linked Aadhaar number, is current and correct. This is the foundation of your application.
Navigate to the Application Form: After the OTR is verified, find and select the link for "Departmental Examinations, December 2025" to begin the main application.
Select Your Tests: Choose the specific test codes for the examinations you wish to appear for.
Review and Confirm Selections: Double-check your test choices and personal information, which is auto-filled from your OTR.
Pay the Fees Online: Proceed to pay the requisite fees—a Rs 30 registration fee plus Rs 200 for each test—using the integrated online payment gateway (credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI).
Final Submission and Download: Submit the completed application. It is highly recommended to download or print the confirmation page for your records.
The online application system will allow candidates to edit their submitted forms until the portal closes on November 11. However, the authorities have issued a stern warning regarding fee refunds.
"A candidate may decide to reduce the number of tests they've applied for during the editing window. In such cases, the fees already paid for the withdrawn tests will not be refunded," the notification clarifies.
More importantly, the window for corrections slams shut after the deadline. The examination body has explicitly stated it will not entertain any requests for changes to test codes, exam centres, or personal details post-November 11. Candidates are advised to proofread their applications meticulously before the final submission.
