NEET PG 2025 SC Hearing: The Supreme Court will hear a set of petitions today, 12 September 2025, concerning the transparency of the NEET PG 2025 answer key. Students and petitioners have raised concerns about the way the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) released the answer key for the postgraduate medical entrance exam.
Students Seek Clarity on Answer Key
A total of 11 petitions have been filed, including those by Upendra Yadav and Smriti Utreja. The petitioners argue that the answer key was ambiguous and only included question IDs, making it difficult for candidates to verify their responses. They are requesting the Supreme Court to direct NBEMS to release the full NEET PG 2025 question paper.
Students claim that the lack of access to the complete question paper violates Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India. These articles guarantee equality before the law and the right to personal liberty, which the petitioners believe are compromised by the current evaluation process.
NEET PG 2025 Counselling Updates
While the hearing is underway, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule soon. MCC is responsible for conducting counselling for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) MD and MS seats. The NEET PG 2025 AIQ merit list has already been released, and students listed in it will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.
For the remaining 50% of seats, individual states will conduct their own counselling rounds. Gujarat has already begun its counselling process, while Kerala and Karnataka have issued bond policies for postgraduate medical admissions.
Students are advised to regularly check the official MCC website mcc.nic.in for updates on the NEET PG 2025 counselling dates and round-wise schedule. All official announcements will be made available on the site.
