  • JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results to be declared by February 16, 2026
  • Results and final answer key will be available only on jeemain.nta.nic.in
  • Toppers list, percentile scores, and all-India ranks to be released with results

In a latest development that has captured the attention lakhs of aspiring engineers, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially revised the declaration date for the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results. According to an official notification released on the agency’s official X handle, the results for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) will now be published by Monday, February 16, 2026.

The announcement comes as a slight deviation from the originally communicated timeline, which had set February 12, 2026 as the result date. While the two-day postponement may test the patience of candidates, the NTA has reassured students that the additional time will be utilized to ensure accuracy and transparency in the evaluation process.

How and Where to Check Your Result

Once declared, the JEE Main Session 1 scorecards will be accessible exclusively through the official portal: jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the computer-based tests conducted between January 21 and January 29, 2026, are advised to keep their login credentials handy.

To access the scorecard, students will need to enter their JEE Main Application Number and password. The NTA has clarified that no results will be sent via post, email, or alternative channels; the official website remains the sole authentic source.

Toppers and Percentile Scores

Alongside the individual results, the NTA will also release the list of toppers for JEE Main 2026. This will include top-performing candidates across Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) as well as Papers 2A and 2B (B.Arch and B.Planning). The percentile scores and all-India ranks will form the basis of these merit lists.

In previous years, the release of topper lists has often coincided with the announcement of qualifying cutoffs, and a similar pattern is expected this time.

While the NTA has confirmed the date, it has stopped short of specifying an exact time. However, going by historical trends, the results are likely to be made public in the late afternoon or early evening. Candidates are advised to exercise caution and rely only on the official website, as unofficial links circulating on messaging platforms often lead to misinformation.

Final Answer Key Expected Imminently

In a related update, the NTA is also expected to release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Final Answer Key within this week. The final answer key, once published, will confirm the correct responses for all question paper sets. Students will be able to download the PDF version from the same official portal.

The provisional answer key was released earlier this month, allowing candidates to raise objections. Sources indicate that the final key has been prepared after a thorough review of all challenges submitted by test-takers.

What Should Candidates Do Now?

With the result date now locked in, experts recommend that students use the intervening days constructively. Rather than refreshing webpages obsessively, aspirants can begin familiarizing themselves with the counselling process, document requirements, and college preferences.

For the latest updates on JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results, answer keys, and subsequent admission processes, candidates are urged to keep a close watch on the official NTA website.
