JEE Main 2025 dates clash with CBSE Class 12 board exam dates

Students preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024 are facing challenges as the exam dates clash with the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2025. The overlapping schedules have left students in a state of confusion and stress.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) recently announced the dates for the second session of JEE Main 2024. According to the schedule, the BE/BTech (Paper I) examination will be conducted on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8. The first four days will have two shifts: 9 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 6 PM. On April 8, the exam will be held only in the afternoon session. Additionally, Paper 2 (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlanning) are scheduled for April 9 from 9 AM to 12:30 PM.

Meanwhile, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has slated its Class 12 Board exams for April 2, 3, and 4, with subjects like Malayalam (April 2), Home Science (April 3), and Psychology (April 4) falling on the same days as JEE Main.

Students' Concerns

The clash has sparked widespread concern among students and parents alike. Many students have reportedly reached out to the NTA via emails and social media, urging the agency to reconsider the exam dates. They have highlighted the immense pressure of preparing for two high-stakes exams simultaneously and the unfairness of having to choose between them.

Despite these appeals, the NTA has not yet addressed the issue or announced any changes to the JEE Main schedule. As the situation unfolds, students and parents are hopeful that the NTA and CBSE will find a solution to this dilemma. Until then, students are advised to stay focused, plan strategically, and remain resilient in the face of this challenge.
