How to download the CAT 2025 Answer Key?

Follow these simple steps to check your provisional answer key:

Step 1. Visit the official CAT website: iimcat.ac.in.

Step 2. Click on the active link for 'CAT 2025 Provisional Answer Key' on the homepage.

Step 3. Log in using your CAT 2025 Application ID and Password.

Step 4. Your provisional answer key and recorded responses will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5. Carefully review the document. Download and save a copy for future reference and calculation.

Important Dates for CAT 2025 Answer Key Objection Window

Candidates must note the crucial timeline for raising objections:

  • Answer Key Release Date: December 4, 2025
  • Objection Window Opens: December 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM
  • Objection Window Closes: December 10, 2025, at 11:55 PM

Only candidates who attempted the exam will be able to raise objections against the provisional answer key. IIM Kozhikode will not accept any objections via email or post; all challenges must be submitted online through the official portal.

Procedure to Raise Objections Against CAT Answer Key 2025

To challenge any answer in the key, candidates must:

  1. Access the 'Objection Management' link on the CAT website after logging in.
  2. Select the specific question number and provide supporting documentation or rationale for the objection.
  3. Pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,200 per question challenged. The objection will only be processed upon successful payment.
  4. Submit the form within the stipulated deadline. The fee will be refunded only if the objection is upheld by the examining body.

The final answer key and result will be declared after reviewing all valid objections. The CAT 2025 result is expected to be announced in the second week of January 2026.

The highly competitive CAT 2025 was conducted successfully on November 30, 2025, across 170 test centers in India. The exam was held in three sessions, with approximately 2.95 lakh candidates vying for admission to IIMs and other premier B-schools nationwide.

Use the provisional answer key to calculate your estimated score. However, remember that the final score is calculated using the final answer key, and the actual percentile may vary based on the performance of all test-takers.
