Around 32,000 principals, teachers, counsellors, wellness teachers, parents, and other stakeholders from CBSE-affiliated schools joined the event online via YouTube.
CBSE Chairman Shri Rahul Singh said that the Parenting Calendar is a resource to enhance communication between parents and educators. It provides a flexible framework for schools to implement based on their specific needs.
CBSE Secretary Shri Himanshu Gupta stressed the importance of parental involvement in education. He noted that the Parenting Calendar bridges learning gaps by offering structured, grade-specific activities.
Key Features of the Parenting Calendar
The calendar is based on the 4R framework, Relationship Building, Rejoicing, Reflection, and Reinforcement. It offers structured activities to promote parent-child engagement and holistic learning.
Grade-Specific Activities
The Parenting Calendar encourages parent-child bonding through shared activities that support emotional and academic growth. Schools are encouraged to customise these activities based on their academic calendars and student needs.
Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the initiative reinforces CBSE’s commitment to holistic education by promoting parental participation in learning.
