The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting the Class 10 Social Science Board Exam today, February 25, 2025. Thousands of students across the country are set to appear for the examination, which is a crucial part of their academic journey. To ensure a smooth and stress-free experience, we share some important exam day instructions that students must follow.

Exam Day Instructions

Reporting Time: Students must reach their respective examination centers at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam. Latecomers may not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Admit Card: Carrying the CBSE Class 10 admit card is mandatory. Students without the admit card will not be permitted to sit for the exam.

Stationery: Only blue or black ballpoint pens are allowed for writing answers. Students should carry their own pens, pencils, erasers, and sharpeners. Sharing of stationery is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited Items: Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or any other gadgets are not allowed inside the examination hall.

Dos and Don’ts for StudentsDos:
  • Double-check the exam schedule and center details to avoid confusion.
  • Get adequate rest the night before to stay focused during the exam.
  • Read the question paper carefully and allocate time wisely to each section.
  • Carry a transparent water bottle and necessary documents, such as the admit card and ID proof.
Don'ts:
  • Do not engage in any form of malpractice or unfair means. Strict action will be taken against violators.
  • Avoid last-minute cramming, as it can lead to unnecessary stress.
  • Do not carry any unauthorized materials or notes into the examination hall.
  • Refrain from discussing the paper with peers after the exam to maintain a positive mindset for upcoming tests.

The CBSE Class 10 Social Science exam is divided into sections covering History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics. The paper is designed to test students' understanding of concepts, analytical skills, and ability to apply knowledge to real-world scenarios. The exam duration is three hours, and the total marks are 80, with an additional 20 marks allocated for internal assessment.
