Amid the viral circular on social media suggesting that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the Class 10th Result 2024 on May 1, 2024, the board has clarified that the result will be out this month, but not on May 1.
According to a TOI report, the “unofficial” circular mentioned the timing of the result announcement as 1 PM -3 PM. However, refusing the same, CBSE public relation officer (PRO) Rama Sharma said the circular is fake on the official WhatsApp group.
In February, CBSE issued a public advisory warning students to be on alert for fake social media accounts of CBSE on X, formerly Twitter. Some of these accounts, with the CBSE logo in the display picture, are circulating misinformation on exam schedules and the registration process, among others. Some of the posts also suggest users send their exam query on a mail unrelated to CBSE.
CBSE has concluded class 10 and 12 exams on March 13 and April 2, respectively, and is anticipated to announce the result soon. Students are needed to use their CBSE Board exam roll number, and date of birth to access the results.
Apart from the CBSE official websites, students and parents can check Class 10 and 12 exam results using the DigiLocker app and the website – digilocker.gov.in. Results will also be available on the UMANG app and via SMS.
