1980 :
 
 The Company was incorporated on the 9th of June 1980 under the name
 Shetron Metals Limited as a public company
 
 1984 : 
 
 The company started commercial production in May 1984 with a project
 outlay of Rs.190 lakhs.
 
 1989 :
 
 The name of the company was changed to Shetron Limited in this year.
 The company is engaged in the manufcture of Battery Cell, Jackets
 & Components, printed metal sheet, cans and can components.  
 
 In this year, the company also expanded its printing capacity with an
 additional investment of Rs.250 lakhs.
 
 The Company went public on the 19th of August, 1993 with an issue of
 2,305,000 Equity Shares of Rs.10/- each for cash at a premium of
 Rs.30/- per share, aggregating 922 lakhs.
 
 2001 - The Company has tied up with NSDL and CSDL to offer demat
 facility to shareholders.
