The ongoing Kanwar Yatra has once again become a unique display of admiration for political leadership. In one such instance from Mansoorpur village in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district, a group of kanwariyas has drawn attention by dedicating their journey to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, popularly known as ‘Bulldozer Baba.’

The Mansoorpur devotees, inspired by Yogi’s governance model, carried a specially themed ‘Bulldozer Baba Kanwar’ featuring his image. “The Kanwar has come from Mansoorpur. We are inspired by Baba’s work. He has created a good environment in UP, and people are joining us after seeing this Kanwar,” Ashu, one of the participants, was quoted by ANI as saying.

The title ‘Bulldozer Baba’ has been widely associated with CM Adityanath due to his strong stance against illegal encroachments and his visible use of bulldozers to enforce the rule of law in the state.

Adding to the vibrant and symbolic display of devotion, visuals from Meerut during the 2025 Kanwar Yatra showed devotees arriving with decorated JCBs, carrying photos of both CM Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, turning the religious procession into a tableau of political admiration.

Meanwhile, in Haridwar, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also showed his reverence to the Kanwariyas. He washed their feet at a Ganga Ghat event near Om Bridge and participated in a Bhajan Sandhya. "It is my good fortune to have had the opportunity to wash the feet of Shiva devotees, the Kanwariyas, and receive their blessings,” he said.

Dhami also congratulated all the administrative officers, including those from HRDA and the Haridwar Police, for the successful event. He said that by merely offering water, Lord Shiva fulfils the wishes of all his devotees, and in the month of Shavan, the effect of devotion to Lord Shiva increases tremendously,” he said.
