The e Vitara will come with two battery pack options - 49kWh and 61kWh. Maruti claimed that the BEV will have a maximum range of over 500km on a single full charge. The electric SUV is based on a brand new Heartect-e platform. The Heartect-e platform will feature a high capacity battery with 120 lithium-ion based cells, which will be able to function in extreme temperatures ranging from -30°C to 60°C. "This robust platform features over 50% high-tensile steel, providing excellent structural rigidity. With a long wheelbase of 2700mm and short overhang, the platform boasts an impressive low turning radius of 5.2m aiding manoeuvrability, underlining its engineering excellence. Additionally, the flat floor design maximises cabin space providing enhanced comfort, seating flexibily, and room for the High Capacity Battery pack," the brochure for the car reads. (Image source: e Vitara brochure)

The long wheelbase offers more cabin space for the passengers, Maruti Suzuki said. The front-row seats are well ventilated, and the driver's seat is 10-way power adjustable. The rear seats can be slided and reclined, and the boot space is adaptable. Passengers can be remotely connected to the car, using Suzuki Connect App or their smartphone or smartwatch. "Access your vehicle's multimedia, monitor its health, and ensure its safety and security, all at your fingertips. Track its journey, observe its travels, and even review the driving behaviour, in case someone else is driving your car," the brochure reads.  (Image source: e Vitara brochure)
