In a speech that has again laid bare the terror-state nexus in Pakistan, a US-designated terrorist was seen delivering a highly provocative public speech in the country in which he vowed to “conquer Delhi” and spread Islam “across the world.”
Lashkar-e-Taiba leader Hafiz Abdur Rauf, who was seen leading the funeral prayers for terrorists killed in Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, spewed venom against India during a speech delivered in Punjab’s Habibabad in November.
In a video doing the rounds on X, Rauf can be heard claiming that India will “not dare to attack Pakistan for the next 50 years” after the four-day military escalation in May. He then goes on to spread familiar boastful claims, peddled by the Pakistani leadership for months, to claim “victory” against India.
“Not just Kashmir, Islam will rule the whole world. I have more information. Once Amir Makki Saab (Abdul Rehman Makki, LeT co-founder) said we will conquer Delhi, and it will happen,” he said.
He added: “We will succeed in Ghazwa-E-Hind. Six months back, we ‘defeated’ India. We are a winning populace. For the next 50 years India will not dare to attack us. Rafale, S-400, drones and technology are nothing in front of us. The Indian Air Force will not dare to enter our airspace. We are the only nuclear power among 58 Islamic countries.”
Rauf was previously seen leading the funeral prayers of terrorists killed in the Operation Sindoor strikes, in the presence of senior leaders of the Pakistani army. The Pakistan army later tried to label Rauf, a US-designated terrorist, as a “common man”.
The PIB Fact Check team later debunked the DG ISPR’s claims, citing evidence that his name appears on the US sanctions list.
The incendiary video of Rauf again validates India’s long-standing position that Pakistan gives free sanction to terrorists on its soil. Following the April 22, 2025, Pahalgam attack, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, striking nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, declaring no distinction between terrorists and their state sponsors.
