US President Donald Trump’s eating habits, particularly while traveling, have been described as “unhinged” by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who shared insights during a podcast interview.
Kennedy said the former president frequently consumes “really bad food, which is McDonald’s, and then candy and Diet Coke.” He added, “He drinks Diet Coke at all times. If you travel with him, you get this idea that he's just pumping himself full of poison all day long.”
Kennedy explained that Trump opts for familiar brands while on the road to avoid falling ill. “[Trump] says that the only time that he eats junk food is when he's on the road, and he wants to eat food from big corporations because he trusts it. He doesn't want to get sick when he's on the road,” Kennedy said.
Despite the diet, Kennedy marvelled at Trump’s endurance, noting, “He has the constitution of a deity. I don't know how he's alive, but he is.” He also described Trump as “the most energetic person, you know, any of us have ever met,” praising his high stamina.
Kennedy emphasised that Trump generally eats well at the White House and Mar-a-Lago and remains in excellent physical condition. Citing Dr. Mehmet Oz, he noted Trump has “the highest testosterone level that he's ever seen for an individual over 70 years old.” The White House also highlighted Trump’s latest MRI scan, stating his cardiovascular system is strong, all major organs are healthy, and abdominal imaging is normal.
As Trump approaches 80, scrutiny over his health continues. The president has dismissed concerns about his age, energy, and appearance, attributing visible bruising to daily aspirin intake and occasional makeup use. Kennedy’s remarks provide a candid, humorous, yet revealing glimpse into Trump’s unusual eating habits, contrasting his indulgence in fast food while travelling with his overall remarkable health and energy.
