In a significant move to bolster the cryptocurrency industry, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the creation of a U.S. Crypto Reserve, which will include digital assets such as Solana (SOL), XRP, and Cardano (ADA). The announcement, made on Sunday, March 2, via a post on TruthSocial, is part of Trump’s broader push to position the United States as a global leader in the crypto sector.
Trump framed the initiative as a corrective measure following what he described as years of "corrupt attacks" on the crypto industry by the Biden administration. He also highlighted his previous executive order on digital assets, which directed the Presidential Working Group to establish a Crypto Strategic Reserve.
“The U.S. Crypto Reserve will elevate this critical industry after years of corrupt attacks by the Biden Administration,” Trump wrote. “That’s why my Executive Order on Digital Assets instructed the Presidential Working Group to move forward with a Crypto Strategic Reserve that includes XRP, SOL, and ADA.”
Trump further stressed his commitment to making the United States the global hub for digital assets.
"I will make sure the U.S. is the Crypto Capital of the World. We are MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" he declared.
