Newly released documents linked to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation have alleged a disturbing exchange between the convicted sex offender and Donald Trump, the current President of the United States, involving a 14-year-old victim identified as Jane Doe.

The files were made public on the US Justice Department’s website and contain extensive redactions, including blacked-out sections and notes, CNN reported.

According to one paragraph in the document, Epstein introduced the minor to Trump during a visit to Mar-a-Lago. The filing claims Epstein referred to the girl by asking, “This is a good one, right?”, following which Trump allegedly smiled and nodded. “They both chuckled, and Doe felt uncomfortable, but, at the time, was too young to understand why,” the document states.

The records further allege that Epstein continued to abuse the victim over the following years. Towards the end of 1994, Epstein allegedly assaulted Doe in his pool house, telling her such behaviour was to be expected from photographers who were to take modelling pictures of her. The document notes that when professional photographers later photographed her, no such conduct occurred.

The abuse is described as escalating over time, with the filing alleging repeated sexual assaults at Epstein’s properties in Palm Beach, New York City and New Mexico. It also states that Doe often travelled with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell on Epstein’s private jet. Hindustan Times reported on the contents of the newly released documents.

Meanwhile, Republican lawmaker Thomas Massie, who led efforts to force a vote on releasing the full Justice Department files in the Epstein case, criticised the disclosure, saying it “grossly fails to comply with both the spirit and the letter of the law” signed by Trump.

Democrat Ro Khanna, who worked with Massie on the discharge petition, echoed the criticism, saying on X that hundreds of thousands of pages were released but key material remained hidden, including a 119-page grand jury testimony document that was completely redacted.
