Newly released photographs from convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s Paris apartment have revealed disturbing details of what French prosecutors believe was a key location for sexual abuse and trafficking.
The images, published by French daily Le Parisien, show grisly decorations, sex toys, framed photographs of naked women and a red-lit massage room inside Epstein’s sprawling 18-room apartment on Avenue Foch, one of Paris’s most exclusive addresses.
French investigators believe several sex crimes were committed at the property.
Chilling images from inside the apartment
According to Le Parisien, the photographs show a massage table, drawers filled with sex toys and walls covered with images of naked women.
One image reportedly shows Epstein lying beside two topless women, framed and hung on the wall.
Another photograph reveals a dimly lit room where a drawer contained two large wand vibrators. The apartment also featured a red-walled massage chamber that prosecutors suspect was used for sexual abuse.
The decor throughout the flat was described as deliberately theatrical and unsettling, dominated by red, orange and pink hues.

Lavish interiors and bizarre decor
Epstein purchased the Paris apartment in 2001. The photographs show rooms decorated with dragon wallpaper in what was referred to as a “Chinese room,” a red leather study and a rotunda with a bearskin rug overlooking the Arc de Triomphe.
The flat also contained bizarre animal-themed decor, including antelope horns, a stuffed elephant calf and a vulture. Furniture covered in faux tiger skins was also visible.
The property included a sauna and a gym, according to the images published by Le Parisien.
Link to Jean-Luc Brunel investigation
The photographs were taken by French police during a 2019 investigation into alleged rapes committed inside the apartment by Jean-Luc Brunel, a longtime Epstein associate.
Brunel was charged with raping a minor and was also under investigation for trafficking minors, some as young as 12. He was found dead in his Paris prison cell while awaiting trial.
Authorities said Brunel hanged himself using bedsheets.
Fresh investigations opened in France
Following the release of millions of documents by the US Department of Justice linked to Epstein, French authorities opened two new investigations earlier this month.
One probe focuses on alleged human trafficking, while the other examines possible financial crimes. French investigators are also reviewing materials from the earlier Brunel investigation.
“We are hoping all this data will help us get a well-informed, very broad, panoramic view [of the case],” Paris chief prosecutor Laure Beccuau said, as quoted by The Times.
Fallout from DOJ file release
The Justice Department’s document release has triggered renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s global network.
According to reports, the disclosures have already led to the arrest of Prince Andrew, a French investigation into former Culture Minister Jack Lang, and the resignation of several high-profile figures from senior positions.
Public interest surged again after the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Justice Department released a joint memo last July concluding that Epstein died by suicide and did not maintain a “client list” of powerful men, contrary to widespread speculation.
Epstein’s death and ongoing scrutiny
Epstein died in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving girls as young as 14.
Despite official findings, the release of new images from his Paris apartment has renewed focus on the scale of his alleged crimes, the role of his associates and the international dimensions of the abuse network that investigators are still trying to fully unravel.
