Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Israel in the last week of February, government sources told CNN-News18. During the visit, the prime minister is expected to travel to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, underscoring the political and strategic importance New Delhi attaches to the relationship.

If confirmed, the visit would come at a time of heightened geopolitical churn in West Asia, with the region witnessing ongoing security tensions, diplomatic realignments, and uncertainty over the future of several conflict zones. Against this backdrop, India and Israel have continued to strengthen cooperation across defence, security, intelligence sharing, technology, trade, agriculture, and innovation.

Prime Minister Modi last visited Israel in 2017, becoming the first Indian prime minister to do so.
