Fresh allegations involving Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates have surfaced following the release of US Department of Justice (DOJ) files related to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. British media outlets, including The Sun and Daily Mail, have reported that the documents suggest Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease after encounters with “Russian girls” and allegedly sought antibiotics to give secretly to his then-wife, Melinda Gates.
The claims are drawn from hundreds of thousands of documents released online by the DOJ, part of a larger disclosure encompassing over three million pages of records, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images connected to Epstein and his network of high-profile contacts.
Central to the reports are emails dated July 18, 2013, which appear to be drafts Epstein allegedly wrote to himself. Some messages were written from the perspective of Boris Nikolic, Gates’ former adviser, who was then associated with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. According to the reports, the emails describe Gates asking Epstein to delete correspondence related to the alleged incident and provide antibiotics for Melinda Gates secretly.
Epstein allegedly expressed frustration over Gates ending their association, writing he was “dismayed beyond comprehension” and claiming that Nikolic had been drawn into actions described as “ethically questionable or potentially illegal,” including helping Gates obtain drugs and facilitating meetings with other women.
The British tabloids emphasized that the allegations have not been independently verified and that the emails appear to be draft notes rather than messages actually sent.
Gates has, however, strongly rejected the claims.
A spokesperson, as cited by the Daily Mail, stated, “These claims are absolutely absurd and completely false. The only thing these documents demonstrate is Epstein’s frustration that he did not have an ongoing relationship with Gates and the lengths he would go to entrap and defame.”
Gates has previously acknowledged knowing Epstein but has consistently denied any wrongdoing. He has expressed regret over the association after learning more about Epstein’s criminal history.
The DOJ noted that while the files include previously unseen, undated photographs of Gates and Epstein together, the presence of individuals in the records does not imply wrongdoing or awareness of Epstein’s criminal activities. Epstein, who faced federal sex trafficking charges, died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said the disclosures followed an extensive review process and are part of an ongoing effort to release Epstein-related material. More than 600,000 documents have been published, with millions more still under review for potential release.
Bill and Melinda Gates were married from 1994 to 2021. Melinda Gates has previously said that Gates’s extramarital affairs and his association with Epstein were among the factors contributing to their divorce, without providing further details.
