‘Moment of truth is near, freeing Iran depends on you’: Netanyahu to Iranians

As the conflict between the US-Israel and Iran entered its ninth day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday said that the war against Iran will continue unabated and without compromises.

In a video statement, Netanyahu said, "Israel has an organized plan with many surprises for the next phase of the war with Iran to destabilize the regime, to enable change.”

Israel is “not trying to divide Iran, we are trying to free Iran”, Netanyahu said, according to a report by The Times of Israel.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Israel and Iran will be back to being “true friends". “The moment of truth is near. Liberation from the yoke of tyranny will depend on you. If you stand up, the day will not be far off when Israel and Iran will return to being true friends", Netanyahu said.

Netanyahu said Israel’s campaign is aimed at Iran’s leadership rather than its citizens and described the war as an effort to remove what he called a tyrannical regime.

Netanyahu praised Israel’s military personnel and civilians for their resilience during the conflict.

“I salute our brave pilots, the ground crews working around the clock and our courageous fighters in Lebanon and across all fronts,” he said, also thanking Israeli civilians for following Home Front Command safety instructions during missile attacks.

He said Israel and the United States are working together in the campaign against Iran and thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his support.

The remarks come as the US-Israel war on Iran entered its second week on Sunday, with Jerusalem continuing targeting multiple sites in Tehran and other major cities. Meanwhile, Iran continues to retaliate by targeting facilities linked to the United States and Israel across the Gulf.
