A 25-year-old man of Indian-origin man living in Brampton has been arrested in Canada for allegedly performing obscene acts at several medical clinics in Mississauga, Ontario. Police identified the suspect as Vaibhav, who investigators say repeatedly exposed himself to women doctors and other staff members across multiple facilities over the past few months.
According to the Peel Regional Police, Vaibhav allegedly visited clinics under a fake identity and pretended to suffer from various medical conditions to deceive female physicians into touching him inappropriately. Officers said he sometimes used the alias “Akashdeep Singh” while entering these clinics. The Peel Regional Police confirmed the arrest in a statement, saying, “The 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) has arrested and charged a Brampton man in relation to an indecent act investigation.”
Police allege that Vaibhav exposed himself to women working in these clinics and targeted multiple locations during different visits. He was taken into custody on December 4 and remains behind bars while awaiting a bail hearing.
Authorities say he now faces several charges, including Indecent Act in a Public Place, Identity Fraud with the intent to Gain Advantage, Possession of an Identity Document and Identity Theft.
Investigators believe additional victims or incidents may exist and have appealed to the public for information. Peel Regional Police urged anyone with relevant details to contact the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau, saying, “Anyone with information in relation to this incident is asked to contact the 12 Division CIB at 905 453 2121, ext. 1233.”
