New claims tied to the Epstein files have intensified scrutiny around Prince Andrew, formally known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, who has previously faced separate legal trouble and was arrested and released in an unrelated matter.

According to a report by the UK based outlet Express, documents emerging from the Epstein files contain an allegation that Mountbatten Windsor watched as a young girl aged between six and eight was subjected to electric shock torture.

The publication said the accusation appears in materials that include an FBI report from July 2020. The report details claims of sexual abuse involving Mountbatten Windsor and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell in Surrey during the mid 1990s.

The allegation, said to stem from an anonymous tip off, claims a young girl was restrained on a table and “tortured with electrical shocks” by Maxwell while Mountbatten Windsor and other men watched.

As per the Express account, the alleged incident took place at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, Berkshire.

Mountbatten Windsor has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

Police in Surrey confirmed they were aware of a redacted report that referenced historic allegations of human trafficking and sexual assaults on a minor in Virginia Water village between 1994 and 1996.

However, Surrey Police clarified that a current public appeal seeking information about non recent trafficking and sexual assault claims is not connected to the electric shock torture allegations mentioned in the Epstein files.

A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “After reviewing our systems using the limited information available to us, we found no evidence of these allegations being reported to Surrey Police.”

The force added: “We therefore encourage anyone with information in relation to these allegations to report this to us online, or via 101. We take all reports of child and sexual abuse seriously and therefore, as with any other matter, should new and relevant information be brought to our attention, including any information resulting from the release of materials in the US, we will assess it.

“Where relevant, and via the national coordination group, we will engage with law enforcement agencies to obtain access to further information which may support our enquiries. It is important that any information is reviewed objectively and without speculation.”
