Elon Musk backs impeachment of Donald Trump

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has backed a post that called for impeachment of US President Donald Trump and VP JD Vance, marking a sharp escalation in their ongoing public feud.

Musk responded with a "Yes" to a post on X by right-wing commentator Ian Miles Cheong, which read: “President vs Elon. Who wins? My money’s on Elon. Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him.”

The feud between Elon Musk and Donald Trump has entered a new phase, marked by clashes over federal contracts, tax reforms, and political power plays.

Amid growing tensions with his former ally, Musk posted a poll on X, asking users, “Is it time to create a new political party in America that actually represents the 80% in the middle?”

The endorsement of Vance signals Musk’s growing willingness to publicly challenge Trump’s leadership within the party.

The conflict has steadily intensified, with Musk criticizing Trump’s leadership and policies, while Trump has threatened to strip Musk’s companies of government support.

All about Trump Musk feud

The clash comes less than a week since Trump held a grand Oval Office farewell for Musk as he wrapped up his time leading the cost-cutting Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

The ongoing conflict between the old allies started from Musk being in arms against Trump's “Big Beautiful Bill,” urging Americans to contact their lawmakers to “KILL” the legislation.

Intensifying his criticism of Trump’s bill, the tech billionaire called it a “mountain of disgusting pork” hidden within the massive policy package.

Musk further escalating the conflict by saying that the US president would have lost the election without his support.

After this Trump threatened to eliminate government subsidies and contracts tied to Musk. Musk also accused the US President of being named in the unreleased files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
