Newly released DOJ records reveal a 2010 email from Eva Andersson-Dubin inviting Jeffrey Epstein to visit while her 15-year-old daughter had friends over, raising concerns about Epstein’s continued access to minors after his sex offender conviction.

Newly released records from the United States Department of Justice investigation into Jeffrey Epstein have spotlighted a disturbing 2010 email sent by his former girlfriend and longtime associate Eva Andersson-Dubin, raising fresh questions about Epstein’s access to minors even after his conviction as a sex offender.

The email surfaced in the latest tranche of documents known as the Epstein Files, released by the Justice Department on Friday. The records have drawn renewed scrutiny over Epstein’s social circle and interactions following his 2008 conviction in Florida for soliciting a minor for prostitution.

Email sent after Epstein’s conviction

The 2010 email was sent two years after Epstein pleaded guilty and was registered as a sex offender. At the time, Andersson-Dubin’s daughter, Celina, was reportedly 15 years old.

“Come and visit next week, Celina will have 5 friends over,” Andersson-Dubin wrote in the email.

The correspondence also shows confusion on her part about the sender’s identity. In one exchange, she wrote, “Who is this??????”

Epstein responded, “My new hei,” followed by “Sent from my iPhone,” according to the documents.

The revelation that such emails were exchanged after Epstein’s conviction has reignited concerns about how he continued to maintain access to families and social spaces involving minors.

‘100% comfortable’ statement raises alarm

Separate documents included in the release show that in 2009, Andersson-Dubin wrote directly to Epstein’s probation officer. While acknowledging his conviction, she stated that she was “100% comfortable with Jeffrey Epstein around (her) children”.

The statement has drawn particular scrutiny, given the timeline of Epstein’s offences and his status as a registered sex offender at the time.

According to a report by Vanity Fair, Andersson-Dubin and her husband, billionaire hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin, welcomed Epstein back into their social circle after his release from prison.

Who is Eva Andersson-Dubin?

As per a report by India Today, Eva Andersson-Dubin is a former Ford model who won Miss Sweden in 1980. Born in Uddevalla, Sweden, she later attended UCLA medical school.

She dated Epstein on and off throughout the 1980s before marrying Glenn Dubin in 1994. Despite ending their romantic relationship, she reportedly remained close to Epstein for decades.

Wider Epstein Files fallout

The latest document dump has again brought Epstein’s network under global scrutiny, with references to high-profile figures including Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Donald Trump.

While the documents do not allege wrongdoing by those named, the resurfacing of emails like Andersson-Dubin’s underscores persistent questions about how Epstein continued to operate socially despite his conviction.
